On the edge of a town in North Dakota, a laboratory sat in an open plain, surrounded by a barbed wire fence for protection. A man named James Peters, whom majored in life science and chemical bonds was working on something special (Here’s a hint, it was me!) Filled within the beaker was a blood red liquid, which could form chemical bonds to a person’s body, attaching a self conscious to the brain, and strengthening the immune system. It’s purpose was to take control of its host when they are feeling weak and/or vulnerable. The prototype’s name was JIMMY (That’s me!)
This invention could change human life! Of course, James went straight to the government to tell them how JIMMY, and others like it could improve military and everyday people’s lives. However, the government provoked this idea saying, “Danger comes from giving an item complete control. Especially if you are giving it complete control of mind and body.” (Personally, he couldn’t be more wrong. Johnny LOVES having me!) As a result, James was forced to dispose all copies of his hard work, but...he never got rid of me!
This is the beginning of my new short-series, Becoming Casket.
